American teams from all over the United States volunteer two weeks of their time serving at camp during the summer. They are responsible for leading games and crafts, singing songs and performing skits, sharing their testimonies, and praying for and with the children. A Romanian team is also at camp, partnering together as they translate and minister. The camp is fully funded by donors so not a single child is turned away from attending this priceless opportunity each summer. We want each child in the State Placement Centers to have the chance to learn about how they can have a relationship with Jesus Christ, and that is only made possible by the many faithful volunteers and donors to our ministry. Are you interested in supporting the Camp of the Good Shepherd and providing for a child to attend camp? A whole week of camp for one child including: room and board, camp tee shirt, craft and game supplies, and hygiene items is only $70. Your gift could make all the difference in the world for that child!

About Mary McTavish

I first heard of Camp of the Good Shepherd back 2010 while attending Camarillo Community Church. My family hosted a student from Romania who attended Camp as a child. My daughter, Megan has also volunteered at Camp for several summers. I've attended the Heart of Hope Dinner and Auction nights, supporting the ministry as part of the "home team" through financial giving and prayers for many years. I've heard countless amazing stories of how Romanian children are impacted at camp and I want to be a part of that.

Finally, this year, I feel God leading me to volunteer at Camp of the Good Shepherd, and He has graciously provided me the time this summer to do so. I am grateful to be volunteering alongside my daughter Megan. I am prepared to open my heart to the children of Romania, showing God's love for them through crafts, activities and spending as much quality time as I can with them.

Thank you in advance for any support you are able to provide. Your prayers are also appreciated.
